If you can’t find what you’re looking for, please feel free to get in touch!

What happens if the weather is too bad to operate Dinner in the Sky? Australia is blessed with some of the finest weather in the world and we do include different weather options to ensure maximum exposure all year long.

We will monitor the weather conditions in the week leading up to your event, and if they prove to be too bad to operate on your desired date, we do offer the possibility to adjourn your event to another date. It is the responsibility of the client to consult us about the weather conditions at least 72 hours before an event, otherwise it will go ahead as planned.

Is heating available ?

In the winter months, we can offer a heating system onboard as a part of your package. For any stand-alone bookings, power must be available at your location; with a 60 meter long 24 amp power cable and a switch box, that can hold 8 x 220 V 16 amp to power up the heating system.

Is there cooling available?

Yes. We are also prepared for events in hotter months or more humid parts of the Country. For such occasions we offer the possibility to install AC-Fans or Misting Fans and the additional set up of a darkened roof to give further shade.

Venue?

The event location needs to be a minimum 40 meters x 20 meters allowing access for both crane & support semi trailers with counter loads. We can assist you in your location choice, we do have some preferred locations we have used previously.

We also may already have the ideal location coming up for you.

Catering?

Catering is not included in the basic set up of your event. Budgeting for this will depend on your event plans and how you plan your 8 hours of elevation. Is it 1 VIP dinner or several half an hour tastings & cocktails sessions?

You may like to provide your own Michelin Star Chef & food. We can provide you the basic equipment, facilities and product, and your Chef then may bring everything you need.

Can you arrange your our own catering ?

Yes you can, however if you need any assistance we will be able to offer our preferred high quality catering suppliers and vendors.

How many chefs can cook inside the table ?

There is room for maximum 3 chefs in the middle of the table.

Can the caterer use open fire ?

Open fire is not allowed due to strict fire & safety regulations. Gas-barbecue is also not to be used. It is possible to have electricity on the table in order to use electrical devices.

What kind of food can be served on the table ?

There are no fixed menus. Our clients have been serving from sushi to lobster, tapas to culinary delights… it really depends on the catering company and the available budget. Be as creative as you like!

How many people can sit around the table?

Dinner in the Sky can seat a maximum of 22 people per session. That is; 8 people on the longer lengths and 2x3seats on the shorter lengths.
There is a maximum of 5 people on the inside – including 1 of our staff.

How many sessions can you organise during 8 hours?

Depending on the activities you want to organise we recommend 1 hour per session is ideal, so potentially 7 sessions in one day. However if it’s just a tasting or a cocktail in the sky, we can comfortably achieve half an hour sessions, allowing the opportunity for more people to experience the table.

What if you just have to go!

In the advent of this simply tell one of our friendly staff and you will be taken back to the ground no problem. Just remember it is a little less “discrete” because the whole table goes down with you, though it takes less than a minute to decend.

Dinner in the Sky requires local Council Approvals for each location where it is hosted and needs a minimum of 4weeks to achieve this.

Permission from the landowner is also required.

It is possible to locate the crane and table for use at any location so long as it meets the set up requirements with all necessary costs to be incurred by the client. These are negotiated on an event-by-event basis.
